ABOUT ME
HI, I'M JUNE
My name is June Camacho, but everyone knows me as “DJ JUNEBUG.” I’m Puerto Rican but I was born in the United States. I was born and raised in the city of Chicago. I currently live in this small city and state called Galesburg, Illinois. I currently work as a home health care provider register for the state of Illinois. One of my hobbies is music, I can listen to music all day long with no interruptions.
BRINGING PARTIES FOR 25+ YEARS
When I was 18 years old, I met two brothers at a DJ event and eventually they became personal friends of mine. One day I saw them at a cookout, and they had invited me over for dinner. When I got there, I knocked on the door and their parents answered the door. I had asked my friends' parents where my friends were. The parents said I could come in and that they were in the basement playing around with music. When I got down there, I saw that the music that was playing was coming out of huge sound equipment called turntables. When I got home, I had asked my parents if they could buy me a set of sound equipment so I could start making money. Once my parents bought me a set of sound equipment I started to promote and do some marketing of my own. I became a professional DJ playing music in my community for anyone that will hire me to control the music at any event that my community is having.
